New Door Installation by Garage Doors of the Triad, Mocksville NC

NEW GARAGE DOOR INSTALLATION · MOCKSVILLE & THE TRIAD, NC

A NEW DOOR CHANGES THE WHOLE HOUSE.

The garage door is a third of most home fronts. A new one is the rare upgrade you see from the street every single day, and one of the few that pays you back at resale.

WHAT WE DO.

  • Haas and Guardian residential doors
  • Carriage house, modern, and classic panel styles
  • Insulated doors for attached and heated garages
  • Custom sizing for odd openings
  • Old door haul-away and disposal
  • One-year installation warranty

WHEN REPLACEMENT BEATS ANOTHER REPAIR.

  • Rust, rot, or cracking that's structural, not cosmetic.
  • Repairs are getting closer together and the math has stopped working.
  • A single-layer steel door on a heated or attached garage, leaking money.
  • The door is the ugliest thing on an otherwise good-looking house.
  • It predates the safety-reverse standard and you have kids or pets.

We're a Haas Door dealer, and not casually: Haas named us to their Outstanding Sales and Achievement list in 2023 and again in 2024. We also install Guardian doors. Between the two lines you can get steel, insulated, carriage house, flush modern, or windowed classic panels, in colors that don't look like a rental property.

The install is where good doors go bad. Ours starts with real measurements, not catalog guesses. We set the tracks plumb, match springs to the actual door weight, seal the perimeter, and haul the old door away. You get a door that runs quiet on day one and still runs quiet in year ten.

Bring us a photo of your house and we'll show you door styles against it before you spend anything. Estimates are free, financing is available, and we'll give you a straight price without the showroom theater.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT DOOR.

Styles that suit the house

Carriage house doors give a traditional look with the convenience of a sectional door. Classic raised panel styles suit most brick and siding homes. Flush and modern doors fit cleaner, newer designs, and windows add light and character. Between the Haas and Guardian lines we can match most houses, and we'll help you see it against yours first.

Insulated or not

An insulated door has a layer of foam between steel skins. It's quieter, stiffer, and better at holding temperature, which matters when the garage is attached, heated, or has a room above it. A single-layer steel door on an attached garage lets summer heat and winter cold straight into the house.

Measuring and sizing

We measure the width and height of the opening, the headroom above it, the side room on each side, and the depth back to the wall. Those numbers decide which track and spring setup fits and whether a standard size works or the opening needs a custom door. Odd-sized openings are common on older homes, and we handle them.

Installation day

The old door comes down and leaves with us. New tracks go in plumb and fastened to solid framing, the springs are matched to the new door's weight, the perimeter is sealed, and the door is balanced and tested with the opener before we go. If the opener is near the end of its life, installation day is the easiest time for a new garage door opener.

Repair or replace?

If the door is structurally sound and only a part is failing, repairing the door is usually the better value. Replacement makes sense when rust or rot has gone through the panels, repairs keep stacking up, the door predates the safety-reverse standard, or it's simply the ugliest thing on a good house. We'll give you a straight recommendation either way.

Windows and hardware

Windows let daylight into the garage and break up a large plain door. Decorative handles and hinges finish a carriage house look. Both change the door's weight a little, so we account for them when we size the springs.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS.

REVIEWED OCTOBER 2026

Which garage door brands do you install?

Haas and Guardian. We're a Haas Door dealer, named to Haas's Outstanding Sales and Achievement list in 2023 and 2024.

Is an insulated garage door worth it?

If the garage is attached, heated, or has a room above it, usually yes. Insulated doors are also quieter and sturdier. For a detached garage that's only used for storage, a non-insulated door can be fine.

Can I see a new door on my house before I buy?

Yes. Design one with HAAS Create, or send us a photo of your house and we'll show you styles against it. Estimates are free.

How do I know what size garage door I need?

We measure for you. The opening's width and height set the door size, and the headroom, side room, and depth decide which track and spring setup fits. Older homes sometimes need a custom size.

Do you offer financing on new doors?

Yes, financing is available. Ask when you call and we'll go through it with your estimate.

Do you haul away the old door?

Yes. Removing and disposing of the old door is part of the installation.
